Precautions for using ejector pin oil in injection molds

Matching use of ejector pin and cylinder is called ejector pin cylinder assembly, which is a kind of plastic mold accessories. Ejector pin cylinder is ejector pin in cylinder needle assembly. Ejector pin cylinder is a metal rod used to eject rubber product manufactured by rubber position. Product is continuously ejected in high-speed mold, and telescopic movement of cylinder is used for wear or processing.
Plastic mold ejector pin 

Purpose of ejector pin:

1. In plastic molds, separating product from mold is also the most commonly used;
2. Carbide ejector pin, such as tungsten steel ejector pin, can be used to pass longer and finer holes;
3. Plastic mold ejector pin can also be used inside mold, it can play a stabilizing role, it is called insert pin. Types of plastic mold ejector pin include: dome needle, cradle pin, standard ejector pin, non-standard ejector pin, etc. Plastic mold ejector pin materials are SKH51, SKD61, SKD11, 65Mn, etc. SKH51 ejector pin has better toughness than SKD61, and SKD61 ejector pin can withstand high temperature of 1600℃ , SKD61 ejector pin surface nitriding treatment can improve wear resistance of ejector pin. 65Mn ejector pin because of its poor quality, quality is brittle and easy to break. Most plastic molds are no longer assembled and use 65Mn ejector pin.
During working process of ejector pin, ejector pin and ejector pin hole rub against each other. If ejector pin (or ejector pin hole) is not frequently filled with ejector pin oil, ejector pin will burn out or wear, ejector pin hole will wear out and become larger. Ejector pin position of product is prone to flare, which affects product quality (or assembly). Sometimes it is necessary to process ejector pin flare, or even break needle, which hinders smooth progress of production. Therefore, we must spray ejector pin oil on ejector pin regularly for lubrication and protection.

1. Features of ejector pin oil

1. It is made of the most advanced high temperature resistant materials in the world.
2. It is suitable for lubrication protection of high-temperature metal parts and lubrication protection of mold ejector pin with extremely high requirements for surface of stripped sheet.
3. Scientifically formulated with special anti-wear, temperature-resistant and anti-rust oils.
4. Non-toxic, odorless, temperature resistant to 300℃, does not pollute machinery and finished products.
5. Waterproof, anti-wear, anti-rust and reduce mechanical mold failure.
6. Tank can bear high pressure and is safe to use.

2. Purpose of ejector pin oil

Ejector pin oil is generally a high-quality guideway lubricant, with tough oil film, no loss, excellent lubrication, anti-rust and anti-crawling properties, and is used for plastic mold ejector pin (push rod) lubrication.

3. Use occasion

During working process of mold, if ejection resistance of ejector pin is too large, or ejector pin does not retract smoothly, spray ejector oil. In addition, a person must be assigned to spray ejector pin oil on ejector pin regularly (at least once per shift) every day to lubricate/protect it.

4. Instructions

1) Before use, turn ejector pin oil bottle (tank) upside down, shake it up and down several times to make liquid in bottle shake even (mixed).
2) When using, insert a tube into nozzle hole, tilt bottle body (about 60° angle) or vertically upwards, keep nozzle and ejector pin (ejector pin hole) at a horizontal distance of about 20cm.
3) Align outlet end of tube with ejector pin (ejector pin hole), press nozzle with your index finger, and spray ejector pin oil by "jogging".
4) Proper amount of spray ejector oil should not be sprayed too much to avoid waste or contamination of product.
5) After spraying ejector oil, perform ejection action (3 to 5 times) in "manual state", check oil injection situation and effect, improve it (if it is not sprayed well, it needs to be sprayed again).
6) Oil on back mold core or oil from ejector pin hole should be cleaned up with cotton cloth.

5. Precautions

Do not spray ejector pin oil upside down, avoid contact with eyes, avoid inhaling spray, do not approach fire source, and keep air circulation.
1) Do not place bottles (spray cans) containing ejector pin oil near high temperature and hot glue heads to prevent heat explosion.
2) After ejector needle oil is finished or when it is not in use, tube should be removed in time, cover should be closed, and it should be sent to specified place for safekeeping.
3) Bottle with ejector pin oil should be placed in a cool and ventilated place, avoid direct sunlight or exposure to an environment where temperature exceeds 50℃.
4) Do not throw empty bottle into fire or puncture it after use.
5) It is strictly forbidden to spray ejector pin oil on the surface of flames or hot metal objects.
