In the field of plastic mold manufacturing, molds are usually divided into two categories: export molds and domestic molds. Export molds refer to mold products that are manufactured in China according to design specifications of foreign customers and exported to foreign countries after trial mold verification. Compared with domestic molds, export molds have stricter manufacturing requirements and follow different design standards. Common international standards include HASCO, DME, MISUMI, PUNCH, etc.

For design of slider mechanism of export mold, there are several key points that need special attention:
1. Design of slider insert
It is crucial. When rear mold slider protrudes to front mold, a 3-degree angle must be designed to be inserted with front mold core, and bottom should also be designed with a 3-degree angle to be inserted with rear mold core to ensure smooth operation of mold.
2. Design of shovel
It should not be ignored either. For molds with large slider glue area and strict appearance requirements, shovel must be designed as a backhoe structure, wear-resistant blocks should be added to contact surface with slider seat to improve durability and stability of mold.
3. Design of pressure plate
There are many types, including flat rails, flush L-shaped rails and sunken L-shaped rails.
Among them, adjustment of flat rails is more difficult, while flush L-shaped rails are easy to adjust, but it is best to add locating pins to ensure accuracy. Sunken L-shaped rail has advantages of easy adjustment and no need for locating pins.
4. Design of limit device
It is also a key link. All sliders must be installed with limit blocks, and it is prohibited to use screw cup heads as a limit means.
When limit block is not locked on the side of mold plate, it should be sunk into mold plate 5mm for positioning to prevent screws of limit block from being overloaded.
Sky side slider should be limited by spring plus slider clamp, and ensure that clamping force of slider clamp is greater than weight of slider. Other positions can be limited by slider clamps or slider buckles.

5. Design of oil groove
It should be done according to customer needs. When customer requires to draw oil groove in 3D design, corresponding drawing will be carried out.
Location selection of oil groove should follow principle of easy processing. It is usually chosen to open it on one side of one of two friction parts that is easy to process, and the other part is not opened.
At the same time, opening of oil groove should avoid damaging chamfered edges of screw holes or edges, that is, closed type.
6. Slider mechanism design
Some details should also be paid attention to. For example, left and right sides of slider seat must be friction-matched with flat guide rail or L-shaped guide rail, and no friction should be generated with mold base.
Wear-resistant sheet on the bottom of slider seat should be 0.5mm higher than slider groove, and area of wear-resistant sheet should be as large as possible. When slider seat goes deep into inner mold, wear-resistant sheet should also go deep into inner mold and be made into a whole structure.
When wear-resistant sheet extends to clamping block, wear-resistant sheet should be 0.5mm higher than clamping block. If original mold base is used as a pressing seat, a wear-resistant sheet must be added to mold base to enhance wear resistance.
